Course Objectives

An update for Qualified Nurses who already administer IV Drugs and Fluids, including use of Medusa, Methods and Considerations, Infection prevention, Hazards and Complications. Treatment of Anaphylaxis and review of A-E approach and Drug Calculations. Care and use of CVC lines.

Course Programme

The candidate will update their knowledge/skills on IV drug administration.

  • Anaphylaxis
  • Drug calculations
  • Medusa guide
  • c/o CVC lines

Theory is followed by practical sessions where candidates have the opportunity to practice the skills using manikins.
