Who should attend

Clinical staff working with children, young people and/or their parents/carers and who could potenitially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs of a child or young person and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding/child protection concerns.

Course Objectives

Exploration of the impact of deomestic abuse on children and young people.
To explore the context of domestic abuse within families
To explore the link between domestic abuse and other forms of maltreatment
To increase knowledge of the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people
To raise awareness of the health professionals' role in supporting children and young people living with domestic abuse
