Who should attend

Registered nurses who regularly practice ear irrigation. If possible, please bring an otoscope with you.

Course Objectives

Participants will have:-
1. An understanding of the basic anatomy and physiology of the ear
2. An understanding of the prevention of ear problems
3. A foundation of knowledge on which to base wax instrumentation and ear irrigation according to their own level of practice competence
4. A better understanding of people with hearing loss
5. Reflected on accountability & documentation in relation to ear care
6. Considered the patient with ear problems holistically
7. Thought about the future management of people with ear problems
8. Achieved competencies as documented in their handbook, consistent with their individual level of skill and knowledge
